I currently work at Automattic, the company behind WordPress – the publishing platform that powers 28% of the web.
Prior to Automattic, I was the founder of Watch Street Consulting, a website design firm based in Chicago. At Watch Street I worked with nearly 200 campaigns, advocacy groups, and associations. Past customers included the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police, the Illinois Gun Violence Prevention Coalition (ILGVP), the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, International Union of Operating Engineers, President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic, and numerous campaigns.
I’ve also previously worked as lead organizer at NationBuilder, I worked several years as a campaign manager and staffer, I served six years in the Illinois Air National Guard, I’m an Iraq war veteran, and I’m an alumnus of the New Leaders Council.
Outside of work, I like to travel as much as possible. I’ve visited 45 U.S. states and over 50 countries around the world. I’ve also worked as an election observer in places like Nepal, Myanmar, and Thailand.
